Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board (HPSSSB)

Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board (HPSSSB) is a government body created by the Government of Himachal Pradesh by exercising the powers conferred under article 162 read with proviso of Article 309 of the Constitution of India on 6th October 1998. Its main office is located in Hamirpur. It is neither a constitutional body nor an autonomous body.

It is created to bifurcate the functions and responsibilites of Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) and recruits Class-III cadre for various government bodies in Himachal Pradesh.

KC Malhotra was appointed as the first Chairman of HPSSSB. Surinder Mohan Katwal was the first member of HPSSSB committee and Nirmal Singh was the first secretary of the HPSSSB.
