Himachal Pradesh is a predominantly Hindu state. More than 95 per cent of the state population follows Hinduism. Islam is the second largest practised religion in the state. Muslims are mostly concentrated in the districts of Solan and Chamba. Sikh is the third largest relgious community in the state and they are concentrated in the Punjab adjoining districts of Kangra, Una and Bilaspur. Buddhists are the fourth largest religious group in the state. They are mainly concentrated in Kinnaur and Lahaul and Spiti district.
