Languages of Dadra and Nagar Haveli
Hindi and Gujarati are the official languages of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Bhili is the major language spoken by more than forty percent of tribal peoples of Daman and Diu. Moreover, being a former colony of Portugal, one can hear Portuguese in standard or creole form in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, similar to Goa, and Daman and Diu. There are groups who speak Konkani, Marathi, Odia, and Bengali in huge number.
 
Tribal Languages of Dadra and Nagar Haveli

BhiliBhili is a tribal Indo-Aryan language spoken in west-central India. It is also known as Bhagoria, Bhilboli, and Garasia. It is heavily influenced by Gujarati and Rajasthani.

VarliVarli is a transitional language between Marathi and Konkani. It is maily spoken by Warli people.

KatkariKatkari or also known as Kathodi is the language of Katkari poeple. It is heavily influenced by Marathi.
