The Governor of Odisha is the constitutional head of Odisha. He is appointed by the President of India for a term of five years, and holds office at the President's pleasure.
The seat was established on 1 April 1936 during British Raj.
Sir John Austen Hubback was the inaugral holder of the office.
Chandulal Madhavlal Trivedi was the first Indian Governor of Odisha, whereas
Kailash Nath Katju was the first Governor of Odisha after Independence of India.
Prof. Ganeshi Lal is the current Governor of Odisha.
