Jakanachari Award (Karnataka State Award for Sculptors) |
Jakanachari Award is a state award of Karnataka conferred on talented sculptors and craftsmen of the Karanataka state. The award is named after legendary sculptor Amarashilpi Jakanachari who is said to sculpted many fine temples of Kalyani Chalukyas and Hoysalas. The award was first given in 1999 to K. Shamraya Acharya.
